Larger tires on F350

The reasons I went with the Toyo AT2's was for the fact that the highway tires that were on it were very sketchy in the Colorado Rockies in the winter. These new tires have an aggressive tread and should handle the mountain passes with ease. They are also getting good reviews. I also wanted to fill out the wheel well a bit, but not decrease clearance between 5er and truck bed significantly. The 295/70/18 also has a load and speed range of 129/126S.

I just ordered a set of 305/70R18's for mine. I'm doing a leveling kit on it and wanted to fill the wheel well.

Has a manufacturer ever recommended chaining the front . I have been chaining the front end on nearly every truck I've owned when hunting . The front is much more effective when chaining up and have chained all four many times . Never an issue other then turning sharp .

You would chain your front if you were in snow to nearly your front bumper :B

They fill out the wheel well a little more than the 275/70/18's. No rub at all. Should be great for ski season. I'll post some before and after pics when I get them off my phone.

245/75R17, 275/70R18 and 245/70R19.5 tires all cleared low profile chains on the front of my 2005 4wd F250. The latter two were about 33" tall - Even with the 18" tire width, it had no clearance issue. This was with one tire up on a curb with the wheels turned full lock to either side simulate suspension compression.

Unless things have changed on the newer Superduties , my older one with stock tires did not except chains very well . I could get them on ,but had to be careful how sharp I turned .

I had an older Superduty 350, and I ran 285/65/18's. IMO they were the ideal size for the truck . The OEM were 265/75/16 , so they were a little taller. I would thing 285/75/18 would also be ideal.

My new truck has OEM 275/75/18's, and the tire you are thinking of is what I will probably go to, heard good things about the Toyo
