The first crew cab truck was the American 1957 International Harvester Travellette. The Japanese didn't start producing crew cabs until 1962 in the Toyota Stout which is just another version based off of the standard American pickup truck just like the Hilux and Ranger which are currently Australia's best selling vehicles
