What air bags are you talking about? SRS or suspension? If it's the SRS air bags then there is a recall on them, about 200,000 Chrysler cars and trucks are being inspected. Again do to outside vendors! Got to love those non union, internet schooled engineers :W
The more you out outsource, the more problems you have! We have vendor sorts going on every single day and these are "Vendor Certified" parts. Whoever came up with that idea should have been shot.

SRS Had to replace frame bent and not repairable broke both engine mounts and just about ripped the front Diff out and the air bags did not come out. I was told that we did not trip the air bag black box in the cab. I hate to see what it would take!
It takes two sensors to set the bags off. Depending on the impact, it can take a whole lot of damage to set them off.
