Leave Taps open, low point caps off when done winterizing

After blowing out all the lines and putting the camper to bed do you leave the caps off the low point drains, open all taps and leave the anode rod out or doe the exact opposite so when spring comes you just hook up to water and your ready to camp. I don't use pink stuff except in the traps. tks

  • So seems to be put the caps on the low point drains and anode rod in but don't fully tighten them. What about inside faucets(open or closed) or does it not make one bit of difference? tks

Same here. It's for sure something would crawl in where you don't want it.
  • Open them, drain the lines, then re-insert them very loose (just turn enough to stop them falling out). That keeps bugs from crawling in. Same for the water heater anode or plug.
