Leaving slide out in winter?

Will it hurt anything to leave the main slide out during the winter snow? I tried to retract today but to much ice. Not much snow but may get some tonight.
Best way to get rid of the ice if I want to retract??

PS unit is Jayco 29rlds (big main slide)

    Why leave it out if you are not going to be in it? Less likely leak if it is in and no weight of snow on the slide if it is in.

    The only way to get it off is climb up on the roof and try as best you can to clear it off.
