Pete,
That's the very reason Jeanie picked warm whites. The light is very similar in Kelvin numbers on both styles. Comparing the light output (perceived lumens) I thought the LED's, if anything were the same or even slightly brighter than the 1141's. Maybe I got 1156 replacements instead. But, again they were cool on battery power only. Hot was when I took the defuser off the burning stove hood light and tried to remove the incandescent bulb in there. Ouch!
I have replaced one 1141 inside the Lance since we bought it in 2002. One fixture has an intermittent switch contact problem I have yet to solve. But that's it. My objective is to extend the battery life in the boonies, not to light up the countryside. *Festive we ain't. No swaying in the wind awning light showboat here.
*A pair of cool adult beverages for a pair of cool consenting adults; seated in our canvas directors chairs arranged closely like the 2 tubs in the Cialis ads; scooching ever closer to the fire barrel as it slowly dies down; facing the fading twilight in a murmuring peaceful quietude: Amen. *That's our festival.
