To the OP, the 2 biggest hurdles or concerns for roof mount would be clearance to the camper and if the camper actually overhangs the windshield, the glare off the camper. Otherwise no different than any other truck.
For those complaining about them, you must not drive many/any dark roads with little to no traffic, no ambient lighting and abundant wildlife.
Just in the last 2 weeks, on my job, 1 elk has been tagged by a company truck and another fresh hit by a passing motorist gave us 4 good quarters and grilled back strap for the night shift crew lunch!
I guess big LED lights could have saved the front of a Chevy, but the crew would have gone hungry! lol
