DO NOT buy an LED lamp replacement. The incandescent spreads out the light and bounces it off the reflector. An LED lamp replacement will give a red dot in the center of the lens.
You MUST replace the entire fixture to be safe and legal.
certainly possible if you buy one of those under a buck lamps off a popular auction site. - beemerphile1ExplorerDO NOT buy an LED lamp replacement. The incandescent spreads out the light and bounces it off the reflector. An LED lamp replacement will give a red dot in the center of the lens.

Here you go I have had there brake light replacement for 2 years they work great. http://commandelectronics.com/product-category/brakemarkeretc/stop-lights/led-stop-lights/
==================
Command Electronics makes many LED replacement fixtures for RV's. They also will recommend the proper lens for the brake light assy. DOT regulations requires changes on the lens when the incandescent is replaced by LED..

Does anyone have a recommendation for an LED replacement tail light for trailer in signature? The bulb seems to be a 3-in-2 design with two filaments (brake, turn and regular light). Thx.
I purchased my two-way 1157 replacement from Superbrightleds.com ... I can't bring up the site right now or I'd link it for you.
It has a "head" that rotates 180 deg, so I can regardless of how it bayonets into the socket, I can aim the light outward. It's bright and then gets even brighter when the brake / turn indicator function is called for.
I'm sure there's one on a popular auction site, direct from China for under a buck, but I'm happy with the one from superbright.
Only downside, the left hand tail light has a clear window in it, so the light also illuminates the license plate with white light, well, now that light is red.
I see that on a car they recommend a special flasher to get the turn signals to flash at the right speed. I wonder on a TT if that is needed? You would have the vehicles tail lights to give you the required resistance after all.
Not needed on a TT as the TW already has the correct resistance and the TT is extra load. - Fast0neExplorerHere you go I have had there brake light replacement for 2 years they work great.
