Good post Lion and maybe Shavano would consider making this a sticky. Biggest problem that I have seen (and it happened to me too) is that the truck will run out of GVWR carrying capacity before you even come close to the tow rating. Sames applies to a 25/350 pulling a big 5er as it does to a 150 pulling a TT.
Seems like 90% of the posts on this topic are from folks the went to buy a TT, bought one based on the tow rating of their vehicle, and are now unhappy with their towing experience because the TV is overloaded.
The RV industry would like you to think it's as easy as hitch-n-go, but like everything else, a little homework is in order.
