Make sure TV antennae is down before leaving the campground, fortunately nothing damaged,
Make sure wheel chocks are removed before pulling off of camp site, fortunately nothing damaged.
Make sure there is clearance when pulling into campgrounds off of the street. While visiting with campground employee at entrance looked in my left side mirror and realized the side of the 5ver was only about 2 inches from making contact with the roof of the campground office, fortunately nothing damaged.
Make sure ball hitch is locked before leaving home. Hooked jet ski trailer to truck to go get gas in ski's and when I got to gas station realized latch was not locked on hitch. Fortunately hitch weight was enough to keep trailer hitch on ball over 8 miles down gravel and paved roads, fortunately nothing damaged.
Make sure satellite/cable TV cable is disconnected from camper prior to pulling out of camp site, fortunately nothing damaged.
Make sure you swing wide enough to miss curbs, fortunately no damage.
Don't follow other campers to closely going down the highway, you never know when the other driver might decide to stomp on brakes. Fortunately no damage other than soiled underwear.
Make sure to periodically check/tighten all threaded drain line connections at sinks and showers. Had mine come loose twice, fortunately only wet floor under kitchen sink.
Check roof regularly for potential leak spots. Found one last summer before it became a leak. $5.00 repair with good RV grade roof caulking.
Pack wheel bearings regularly, especially on watercraft trailers, fortunately no major damage but nearly lost wheel at 55 mph going downhill, now have new spindle and hub on passenger side of jet ski trailer, $150.
Make sure all obstacles are clear when pulling into camp site, especially picnic tables, unfortunately over $700 in damage to 5ver skirting on front side.
I'm sure there are more but that's all I can remember for now.
