My Excursion had that. Went out one cold morning to start it up, locked the doors, went back inside. After a few minutes went outside, keypad wasn't unlocking. Asked my son if he had tried to get in, he said yes, but he couldn't remember the number. Left it running while I took another vehicle to my daughter's soccer game. Got home a couple of hours later, it's still running, but however long the lockout was from his repeated failed attempts, it worked again.
