Head north from Florida to Georgia. At Georgia head West. Pass through Alabama and Mississippi and turn North somewhere when you hit Texas. Keep going North till you come somewhere in North Dakota and then turn back East again. Take the Northern Route through Minnesota and take the Northern Route around the Great Lakes in Canada. Keep heading East through Canada, and somewhere North of Montreal keep heading East and enter Maine. You will miss New York and New York City completely this way, and every other major city in North America! Sounds like a fun trip! Wish I could come with you! :B
Glad you mentioned that. We did exactly the same thing 5 years ago in our 5er. We left Florida with no exact route to Washington state to visit with the daughter. We went diagonally across the US without plans and no timeline and wound up in Washington St a month later. We left the daughter and continued to Alaska. We then continued back east on the northern border of the US on route 2. A two lane road that almost goes from the west coast to the east coast. After visiting with friends in Pa and Maine we traveled back down the east coast back to Florida. About a four month and 20,000 mile adventure.
