Count to three??? I thought you turned the signal on as you are making the turn into the lane...if you bother using it at all.
I found that to be the case in most large Metropolitan City's. The only way they will let you in is when a 13.5' wall starts coming into their lane, then it's like parting of the red sea and they let you in ( self-preservation). I do have a lot more respect for truckers since towing a RV. They usually make room for me and I try to return the favor.
