Lets see how Ford faired in the CR report

I don't usually pay much attention to CR...but in this case I think they have Ford pegged. ;)

Just bla bla bla from CR. Ford's sync and myford touch is what drags them down.
In my opinion no where near the same issues as 'will not start' 'always dies' or some other thing that leaves you stranded .

I'll get the popcorn. This should be good if the thread stays open. :B

I was just posting yesterday that everyone discredits CR until a) they show their brand love, or b) CR bashes the brand they hate.

Can't say I'm shocked though; my ex-wife's Fusion company car (2010 MY IIRC) is on it's 3rd transmission (we've been divorced a while, it may be on transmission #4 by now for all I know).

Funny, people don't like CR because they tell the truth and do NOT take money from manufacturers. I have found their reporting to be very accurate, even when it involved something I owned. I often check their results, when I want the truth, not some advertising, paid for by the manufacturer......

Ford didn't have the color I wanted so I bought a Ram:)

I've subscribed to Consumer Reports for over 20 years...but Cars are NOT what they are good at, and they sure ain't car guys!

That said we were diehard Ford fans, owned many, many of them. It was obvious that Ford cut corners and no longer cared. But my experiences with the 6.0 Diesel F250 I owned was the final nail in Fords Casket as far as I was concerned. Then we bought a new Ford sedan, literally fell apart on the way home. Door panels rattled, engine ran rough, seat belt wouldn't pull out and more. Made in Mexico!

As I'm concerned, Ford just doesn't care!

So we voted with our wallets!

We sold all of our Fords and after extensive research..we (our family) now own 6 New KIA's! 2 of them are build right here at KIA's new Billion Dollar Factory in West Point Georgia. Best made, best designed and best engineered cars I've ever seen!

Right off the dealership lot...we had not a single issue. Paint perfect, all the panels were straight, everything worked, assembly quality was supurb! Reliable too! And the 10 year 100,000 mile warranty ain't bad either.

Message to Ford..get your act together and do it quickly! Henry Ford must be rolling over in his grave.

I've always...mostly....had domestics. But two of my buddies in the past 18 months...went from being domestic owners all their lives (GM, Ford) to buying Hyundai Santa Fe's.

So far...no problems. One has the V6, the other has the four cylinder.

One of our cars is a Toyota...we've had issues with that. So no more Toyota.

But Hyundai...which is connected to Kia I believe..I'm going to take a look.

My department has the Ford Police Interceptors (Taurus's) with the Ecoboost and we haven't had any problems with them. Officers that have them LOVE them. Not sure why CR didn't care for them, but I haven't heard one bad thing about them.
