Admittedly, I have never towed a fifth wheel. I have towed thousands of miles with a conventional trailer and have never had a 'bad' experience. No sway, no problems. It very well could be a case of I do not know what I'm missing too.
Part of the reason I am even considering a fifth wheel is for the ease of hook up...watching my friend hitch his fiver vs me in a TT was enlightening.
He backs in to the pin and he is hitched. Hook up the lights and attach the trailer brake away cable...done...
Oh, lift the landing gear.
Of course hitching a TT is not hard...just dealing with the bars and jacking the tongue up and down. No worries though it's easy with a power tongue jack.
Ahh decisions decisions.
