The wife and I just went through this.... We ended up with a TT for a few of reasons.
1st- I already had a F250, and I wanted to stay within my weight ratings
2nd- Our favorite floor plan was the OR roamer 310bhs
3rd- Cost was a factor as well. We are a mid-30s working family that will use this on the weekends and a few longer trips each year. I couldn't justify the extra cost of the fifth wheel.
With all that said, If I was full-timing or I was going to spend 100+ nights a year in the unit, I would have chosen a fifth wheel for the convenience of hitching\unhitching as well as the added storage.
