I broke enough Lynx Levelers in my early days that it caused me to come up with a better version - my Wood / Lynx Leveling System (10 pics) ... protects the Lynx from ever cracking, prevents the first layer from shifting apart when pulling the trailer up on them, folds in half for easy storage.

I'd never rely on X-Chocks alone for securing the trailer - for that you want some sort of ground level chock. With sufficient space between adjacent tires nothing beats adjustable BAL Standard Tire Chocks but since our current trailer has especially close set axles I instead use rubber chocks for this purpose.
