Leveling jacks for slide?

Our new camper still needs scissor jacks for the tires (can't find any to fit), but I've also notice the slides bounce around when both of us are sitting in it. He on the couch, me on the dinette. Are there jacks for the slides, are they a good idea? I guess I should add, we are on a permanent site. Only time slides are in is in the winter and when we are not going to be there for long periods of time.

  • I installed BAL Stabilizer jacks just in front of the forward axle (as closer to the tires as I could get)on both sides.BAL Stabilizers
Also I use BAL chocks on both sides of the trailer.BAL Chocks
This has greatly reduced the bounce in our 35 foot Cougar.

    Happy trails,
  • Our TT is I think 36 feet including tongue. So I need the stabilizers like the ones that are on the TT? If so, that will be much easier than finding the x-chocks to fit our unit.
  • Depending on how long your trailer is my vote would be for a third set of stabilizers mid way along the frame.

    NO,NO, and DEFINITELY NO!!!!!
stabilizers under the slides are a big NONO. if the trailer sags a bit you could do irreparable damage to the slide out.
Level and stabilize the trailer, then fully extend the slide out.

Thank you, will do this! Now, do you know what kind of scissor jacks that will extend alot?

    I vote NO as well.

By scissor jacks, are you talking about X-chocks between the tires? If so, don't bother. Another set of jacks near the axles will help more.
