Leveling kit for my tow vehicle???

Good morning

Have a question about my tow vehicle and a leveling kit.

First off I'll describe what I have.

I have a 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 Mega Cab and we basically only use it to tow our 5th Wheel camper. The truck has 13,000 miles on it and we bought it brand new

Our camper is a 2014 Cross Roads Cruiser bunkhouse. Has 4 slid outs and is approximately 40 feet long.

I would like to put a leveling kit on my truck to bring the front end up a bit so it's not at such a huge angle.
I have installed them on all my previous trucks and never had an issue with them but I've never had a 5th wheel till now and not sure how it would effect my truck or pulling.

If anyone could help me out a bit it would be greatly appreciated. I'm not thinking of something huge but possibly a 2 inch kit with double shocks.

Thanks in advance

Jeffrey
  • I was thinking the same thing. If your Ram Truck sits level towing, leave it alone. Why would you want your headlights aiming towards Jupiter while towing?
  • I assume loaded your truck sits level? So picture your truck loaded with the front end 2" high hitched. Leave your truck alone!
