License plate frame
My camper has tail lights with integrated license plate holders. The plate moutns vertically on tabs that come off the tail light. Unfortunately the tabs are cheap plastic and the one side broke but...

Yeah just tell them gearhead said it is perfectly legal. Most cops know me and they will lead you directly to.......jail!! :)
Maybe I've just been lucky. I never ran a front plate on my hot rod. Never got any attention around here.
If the plate is at all visible I would leave it alone. Most cops have better things to do than pull over senior citizens in a RV. Unless of course it's 2am and you are slowly driving through a known drug dealing area, then any excuse will do. And rightly so.
