License Plate issues
How many here have had issues with the police regarding obscured license plates due to their truck campers? Has anyone been stopped for such things? Or stopped for other issues but had the cops me...

We started truck camping in 2011. For three years I made a serious attempt to transfer our single plate(Florida) back and forth as we loaded and unloaded the camper. We regularly unload to head off and paddle. Frequently we would unload and head out only to turn around and go back to get the plate off the camper. After reading several discussions of this on the forum I decided last November to just leave it on the truck. We made it as far as Arizona before being pulled over and informed that we needed a clearly displayed plate. The officer was polite but firm and issued us a warning. So........we are back to switching it back and forth. I suppose if we had two plates I would put one on the back of the truck and one on the camper. That might only be a problem if we were in our home state and they required two plates.
