Our NovaKool 9.1cuft double door compressor refrigerator uses about 600 to 800 watt-hr per 24 hour period.
Our battery bank is 3000 watt-hr and I like to keep it above 50%, so we have 1500 watt-hr (two 12V 125AH Lifeline AGM). Solar is 1080 watts but the max I have seen in this north western climate during the summer is around 900 watts under full sun. Obviously with that kind of power coming in, 800 watt-hr per day is nothing. During the winter under trees, it is a lot.
I figure we can go about 2 days under trees until the fridge and a few led lights + water pump bring us down to near 50% DoD. That is what a generator is for.
