lift kit

So my new tires rub as I knew they would. It is not doing any damage, just rubbing the inner fenders and my flairs a little but it is annoying.

So I am stuck lifting the front end. Going to do a simple spacer lift but will I regret it? My truck drives perfect, no death wobble or any of the typical dodge issues.

2"? I hate to do this but find it necessary.
  • Thanks Fred. Unfortunately Vision only offers their wheels in 0 degree offset. The tires are not wide, 11" actually. It's the darn offset making this happen.
  • Well it seems like you know what you need to do to keep the wide front tires.

I found that with my 2WD Ford, I had to get a certain wheel offset when I replaced the chrome rims with aluminum ones rated at 3,400 pounds, the offset needed to be correct. I am not sure if your tires would help by moving outward or inward, but you might also check that too.

    Good luck with that.

    Fred.
  • Yeah it is real or miss with these trucks.

Some have issues stock, other find them after half a__ lifts.....not doing the adjustable track bar, arms, or addressing the weak steering issues.
  • My 2005 ram 3500 4x4 has a 2 inch lift spacer on top of the front coil springs since the truck was new.Never had any problems with unusual tire wear or any thing.I do not run over size tires though.
