- kdlugoziExplorerJust went on the R Vision site, where they list the specs on their Trail Lite campers. Are all R Vision trailers under the Trail Lite logo, or have they ever gone by a different name? Just curious since I am looking at both used and new.
- kdlugoziExplorerThe R Vision sounds like it has potential too. Thanks!
And I have done plenty of my own research. It is just really nice to hear from those with first hand experience. Sometimes things look great on paper but not always in real life. - kdlugoziExplorerI think we are going to start looking at hybrids again. We did see some that were about 4500 lbs gross weight that would offer us everything we want. We were only concerned because the ones we saw had histories of leaks/water damage . But we will look again.
- MvanderExplorerI have a 26ft rvision with a rear hard. slide and 4 bunks at the front that would work. Could sleep 8 comfortably and gvw is 5500# dry is 4000#. Quality seems reasonable for the lightness.
- DiskDoctrExplorerHybrids can be had with 3 bunks! Here is an example: http://www.starcraftrv.com/light-weight/travel-star-expandable/floorplans/229tb/#floorplan-main
A floorplan:
We have a 2004 TravelStar by Starcraft. Instead of the 3rd bunk, the rear has a Garage. The GVWR on it is 5000 lbs, including the sofa slide with StarGazer glass/solid top.
I imagine the tri-bunk would be about the same weight? - kdlugoziExplorerThanks everyone. And yes I have chimed in as much as I could. Needed to take a break from responding to pick up my daughter from Girl Scout camp 3 hrs away. Did not mean to offend.

Did you read the entire thread? The OP has chimed in many times and has acknowledge the suggested trailers.LakeN wrote:

I was thinking that too! Great solution...
Good idea, I forgot about these. We had one when we had our PUP and it worked great! - LakeNExplorer

Our 17' popup has worked fine for sleeping... We tent camped prior to the popup but we NEED a bathroom. Our kids are still little and on our last trip we literally spent half of the day escorting kids to the camp bathroom.

There isn't a lighter weight smaller TT out there with converting couches/dinette or bunk beds that can sleep 7? Up until now we have used a pop-up (17' when opened) but wanted to upgrade to something not much bigger necessarily, but with a bathroom. We looked at used hybrids but they all seemed to have issues with leaking/water damage.

Op's rarely comment on here, but likely the 30K needed to buy this Lance will be the problem.
Even still with 7 people and most still growing, an Envoy will never handle this trailer. At 600plus TW they simply do not have the payload.
numbers are numbers. They will be at least 300 or 400 pounds over right now and more every year as the kids grow - 2012ColemanExplorer II
