I believe them, as they actually diagnosed it in person, not over the internet. I really do not care who is right on the cause. Bottom line is they took care of it quickly without any issue.Huntindog wrote:
Battle Born is built a lot different than the others. More like a Tesla battery.
If Battleborns were built like Tesla batteries, you wouldn't want one in your RV. They're entirely different - perhaps they seem similar because they both use cylindrical cells, but that is about where the similarities end.
You should be able to discharge LiFePO4 batteries to 0% every single day and never have an issue with one not waking up. The issue you had usually can be fixed by putting that battery in parallel with another battery that is operable, to wake the BMS.

I've worked on systems with AmpereTime, Lion, SOK, Battleborn, SimpliPhi, Lithionics, Discover, and other batteries, and those are listed roughly in order of ascending cost. As you go up the chain you get more into diminishing returns - all of those are generally safe choices and will perform well. I've excluded quite a few that I didn't find worth mentioning or recommending. AmpereTime is hard to beat from a value perspective, Discover is hard to beat from a features one. Some of the batteries from Amazon and Ebay have sketchy BMS and poor quality cells.
