I'm a tenter thinking about switching to trailer. I should say switching back. My former husband and I had a neat old 1972 Aristocrat 13 footer that made family travel much more bearable. My current husband and I don't mind tenting so much except that getting somewhere is exhaustive with the setting up and taking down every night until you make your destination. The Camplite Livin' Lite looks like just the ticket: light enough to tow behind the Aztek and clean and simple inside so it's easy to keep clean. I can always spark it up with beach finds, after all! Has anyone on this blog towed one with an Aztek? What kind of mileage did you observe? This is the part that scares me because tenting is so cheap.
I'm not familiar with Aztec towing capabilities, but unless you really want a bathroom and hard sides, I would consider one of the Livin Lite Quicksilver popups. Same construction, same decor, but much lighter and easier to pull, and you'll get much better gas mileage. There is a bit of setup with a popup, but it's pretty simple compared to staking out a tent.
If you are content in a tent but want a bit more convenience, a popup is the way to go.
