Rather than guessing what tow capacity you have- check out changing' gears travel trailer tow calculator. you need to find certain info and plug it in. My friend has rolled 2 camping trailers, my uncle has to change his rear tires twice on any long trip....
I have a 05 Tahoe v8 5.3l engine. When I ran the calculator- max tow and cargo- 4,000lbs. The 2010 13qbb-camplite no bath, at 1600lbs +cargo 1000lbs. Towing with the Tahoe - not a shimmy, did not get blown over by the 50 mph wind gusts. Barley bogged down on the hills.
The manufacture tow rating? 8,000lbs.
