Looking @ the Eagle Cap site, like the triple slide 1100 something, wet it's at least 5500#s, of course I need the gen set so make that closer to 6k#s, rules out my 95 super cab dually w/powerstroke/manual trans. Looking @ Ford specs on trucks up to 550, didn't see anything that was kosher w/6000# payload. That's a LOAD, I'll tell you. My Lance 1040 is about 3100# wet and tow 4000# support trailer w/400# hitch weight, truck is happy but doubling the camper load? NOT.
The howler is Eagle Cap shows the triple slide on a SW truck, no sagging noted, air bags must have 120#s.
There are a few with around a 6,000 lb payload.. From the Ford 2013 "Maximum cargo weight with Slide in Camper table". (Note, this is the maximum allowable weight of the camper with all seats occupied by 150 lb people and the base model of the truck with no options!)
(All are F-350 DRW)
4x2 reg cab 6.2L: 6,793 lbs
4x2 reg cab 6.7L: 6,673 lbs
4x2 supercab 6.2l: 6,293 lbs. (diesel is 5,643 lbs)
4x2 crew cab 6.2L: 6,163 lbs (diesel is 5,423 lbs)
4x4 reg cab 6.2l: 6,629 lbs
4x4 reg cab 6.7L: 6,189 lbs
4x4 Supercab 6.2L: 5,989 lbs ( diesel is 5,249 lbs)
4x4 crew cab 6.2L: 5,969 lbs (diesel is 5,019 lbs)
I guess the moral of the story is if you don't want to be "over weight" on those monster campers, get a DRW regular cab with a gas engine, and forget the air conditioning , power windows and all of the other options that add weight :)
