- finaddictExplorerFor my Alpenlite, I needed to increase its cab over height to fit the higher cab of my 08 F350. I added 4- 8' 2 x 6's across the full length of the floor and it was enough for cab clearance. One of the other advantages of this is it makes storing them on super heavy duty saw horses no problem and it raises the floor off the truck bed and gets less wet.

- BigfootchevyExplorerI have loaded it wet and dry. I don't think it matters.
Paul - jimh406Explorer IIII have a bed liner and rubber mat, but if I didn't, I'd probably want the bed to be dry before loading the camper. As others have stated, it probably doesn't matter.
- campn4walleyeExplorerWe've had to load our TC onto the truck in the rain many times. Our TC has suffered no ill effects.
As long as you have a non skid mat on the bed, you should not worry about it sliding around. If that's what worries you. - Reality_CheckNomad II

Will hurt an AF 990 to load it on a wet truck bed.
I don't think the AF has any feelings one way or the other.... - Victory402ExplorerOne of the reasons why I have a layer of foam board in my bed.
- mbloofExplorerMy truck bed stays dry with the camper on it.
Then again the bottom of a NL is like a "boat" so I have no quams if there is water in the bed when I load the camper. (just as long as the water does not get into the 7-pin socket) - trail-explorerExplorerNo problem at all.
- JoeGood988ExplorerThe truck bed doesn't stay dry in a pouring rain with camper in it.
