- MikeInOregonExplorerI have the B-D battery lock bars for my two 6 volt batteries. They are good quality and work well when used with a quality padlock. I'm sure that the batteries could still be stolen, but the locks act a deterrent. Hopefully, a thief will move on to an easier target.
I have no reason to think that the batteries will be stolen, but I'd rather take a proactive measure rather than reacting to a theft after it has occurred. - PenManExplorerI'm with downtheroad. I have had batteries stolen while in our driveway before I got two of these locks (two batteries). No problems since installing them. I use the kind of padlocks like you see on rental storage units that are a little harder to cut with bolt cutters because you can't get to them. Nothing is perfect but you just need to make yours more difficult to steal than the one down the block.
- Triker33ExplorerIf they want it, they can cut any chain or lock to get it.
