All true. I always had short box trucks and when I bought my RAM came across a long bed. I had to have a crew cab and this one was a fantastic deal and happened to be an 8' bed.
Parking is more difficult than a short bed but the smoothness of the ride and no need for a sliding hitch are worth the minor inconvenience.
Personal preference for sure, but I certainly like it.
