Long shank question...
I would like to be able to drop my truck tailgate while connected to my TT. I have a long shank but was wondering if there is any reason not to use it?

Opening the tailgate fully, while hitched to the trailer is SOP. I do it every time I'm hooked to the trailer for one reason or another. No downside I'm aware of.
