Ford casting plants in cooperation with Nemack have been casting engine blocks for GM for over 10 years.
The iron foundry did work for all for the competitors including american motors.
If the rabid fanboys only knew eh?
Even the Aluninum F150 was seen at the warren tech centre a couple of years ago ,they were stamped out in the current (2012) body panels.
Apparently as soon as it was too late for them to get a rival ready ,Ford gave them a few ,they all do it.
