The GVWR of 8,600 is NOT the tow rating, it's the most the X can weight when fully loaded.
Nobdoy cares what the bumper is rated for because you won't be towing with the bumper. Look at the hitch rating, if it has a hitch. The hitch's rating with weight distribution is the number you should look at. It is probably at least 10,000 and possibly 12,000.
The real life tow rating of any vehicle is GCWR - scale weight of vehicle fully loaded. What's the GCWR of this X?
Either way, I feel certain it will tow your trailer and haul your family just fine with the proper hitch receiver, weight distributing hitch, and tires.
Make sure you get rid of P tires if it has them and install some LT tires.
