You really need to look at the exact truck of interest for payload, and tow capability. Obviously the 150 will ride the best, but you need a 3/4 ton, for the payload numbers you are talking about.
I agree, the Chevys are nice looking, and the 6.0 is a good engine. Be sure to get the 4.10 gears.
A 250, or Ram 2500, will serve you well also. I would consider buying from a dealer you know, and can get good service from, as well as a good price.
I like my 250 6.2, and my dealer has treated me well, for many years.
