Your truck is virtually identical with mine except you have one more leaf spring. The suspension mods are easy and varied. Like Buzz stated, you'll find that the tires will be your weakest link. Rickson or Vision 19.5" wheels with G rated tires will, IMO, be your best route.
One of the things I did and recommend after you get the camper is to fill up the water tanks, put your gear or approximate weight in and head to the scales. I know I was surprised, and the label on our camper says, 2608 lbs before an awning and solar panel were installed!!
I don't care if the camper's name says Northern "Lite", weigh it with gear. That way you can make an informed decision.
