For the 03-07 model diesel trucks still on the road today, I still see by large more 6.0 PSD Super Duty's still on the road than the other two diesel brands combined. And IMO the Super Duty is the best truck platform with the best transmission.
Does that mean that Ford sold more 6.0 than GM and Ram combined?
It just means that what you don't see has been junked. And what's left of the 6.OH's on the road have had a lot of $$$$$ put into them to keep them going!
Lots with a Cummins conversion.
I've never seen a Ford truck with a cummins conversion and I've seen a lot of them.
What I don't see anymore are the dodge 6.7 cummins Blue Tec badged trucks. :W
It really was fun to drive.
Driving a underpowered turd is not my idea of fun. I seen a many old restored Ford vehicle with a Chevy engine/tranny, but again never seen one with a cummins installed nor do I know anymore who has any ambition to install one either.
Speaking of underpowered I drove a coworkers Dodge 5.9 last Friday to try to help him with a starting issue and I didn't have the heart to tell him how terrible the power was, cracked dashboard, everything rattled in the dash, air leaks around the door seals his truck exhibited although it did have ~220k miles and last year replaced the injector pump. It surprisingly still had the original transmission.
