I'm looking for some suggestions for a 2.5" adjustable receiver hitch. The ones I am finding are all north of $200 unless they have poor reviews (slop in them). I would also prefer one that is easily adjustable using pins and cotter keys versus nut and bolt to adjust the height. Any suggestions?

I think they will all be **** till you get into the $200-$300 range . . . Remember you get what you pay for.

^If you plan on having the hitch for a long time, towing multiple trailers or using on different tow rigs, adjustable hitches are handy.
I’ve been “getting by” with a couple of fixed hitches and an adjustable ball/pintle hitch that you have to un bolt to adjust. For over 20 years now.
Just ponied up for the quick adjust since first truck now with a >2” receiver. Very handy to say the least. Now the next 20 years won’t require a ratchet or impact wrench to adjust!

Thanks. I don’t think it paid very well by the hour. I had to make a jig to bend the flat bar and I guess I’ll spend a little more time painting them but it was a fun little project.

OK so you paid how much for the truck? How much for the trailer? And you are worried about saving $75 on a hitch?

I recommend etrailer.com

Close your eyes on price and get the right stuff.

I built one for each application I have. $17 per shank. I guess the down side is I have four shanks. The upside is if one get stolen I still have three. A little paint or powder coating would help.
