Agree with the above posters. The LBZ is the gold standard for diesel HD pickups.
I however, would lean toward the 2004.5~2005 LLY. It is cheaper because it had a slightly unfounded reputation for overheating. A very few did, and the ones that did have been fixed by now.
LLY problems with over heating are not unfounded and AKA Ford, GM never addressed the issue. There are aftermarket fixes.
But just find a LBZ. Chris
