Looking for short camper with bunks, queen size and no lav

We're a family of 4 with two small kids aged 4 and 1. We'd like to buy our first camper!

We live in Montana and like to camp off the beaten path. Our camper needs are pretty specific. We want a shorter camper, hard-sided / non popup, 14' total length or less. We don't want a bathroom and we'd like a queen and some bunks. So far, the only camper I've found that meets these specs are a Scamp 13' with floorplan below.

I also like the Jayco Jay Flight SLX7 - 154BH but its still overkill as we dont need/want an air conditioner, microwave etc.

We looked at some teardrops like the Hiker Mid-Range Deluxe but those are just too darn small for 4 humans.

I am ammazed that I've not found something else to meet my needs besides the Scamp 13' above. Can anyone suggest some other campers that will fit the bill? Also, I'd love a little more clearance and off-road chops than the average camper.
  • Have you thought about a 7 x 14 enclosed utility trailer. You can head queen bed and bunks on the inside with a little bit of space for a kitchen area.
  • Most all hard side, but small trailers other than teardrops and popups will have a bathroom. Take a look at RPods, Little Guy trailers, Scamp, and Wolf pups.

A utility trailer with an AC along with a queen bed and a couple of bunks which you can build out of 2 x 4s and plywood sounds about what you need.
  • Yes - We're pretty set on hard-sided. We often camp in grizzly country and those hard sides are sometimes reassuring (-:
  • Are you locked in on a hard sided camper. We started out with a bare bones pop-up. Just had the basics...stove, small frig..small water tank....and it actually had lots of room..

    Light weight, easy to tow.
  • Have you researched pop ups? Small to tow but expand at camp. Most have no potty etc. Here's a few: https://rainyadventures.com/best-pop-up-campers/
