This is what we are using on our trip to Alaska, been using it every day for the past 5 weeks and woks great and in a matter of just a few minutes.

I use a similar perculator. It adresses 2 important items, ,it doesnt require electric,its easy to store. Plus its easy to clean.
X4. I have tried several coffee makers/machines over the years, and have quite a selection. I have tried self contained propane, several different elec, and stovetop percolators. At this point, I prefer the percolator. I am using the Ozark pot from this page at Walmart.
I use a paper filter for the grounds to make it easier to clean. I really like the large base, which makes the pot more stable.
