Yes. Michelin has owned BFG a number of years. They also own Uniroyal.
You couldn't give me free Michelins. There are a number of posts on the forum about Michelin and BFG failures.
I have driven well over 1,000,000 miles on Michelin's, BFG's and Uniroyal's combined. Not one cracked not one flat. Uniroyal's made it to 80K on my 86 C20 2wd and then Michelin's made it to 100K on same truck.
Then 98 RAM 4x4 2500 120K on Michelins then 3rd gen BFG's made it over 100K each set. Oh I for got the 81 VW PU had Michelin's from the factory I never rotated the tires and the fronts wore out at 75K and the rears made it to 150K.
So I guess everyone has different experiences.
