A product can be popular for any number of reasons: effective marketing, low pricing, easy availability, and yes, because it might actually be a better xyz.
However, popularity, all by itself, does not imply the better product . . . for everyone. Before one debates what's better, shouldn't one first define "for who" is it better? For you? For me? For your friend, neighbor, co-worker, or the guy in the RV park?
I think one of the toughest things in life to do (and what many are having a difficult time doing in this thread) is acknowledging that all of us have different needs and wants. Is it really fair or reasonable to expect someone to purchase something based on YOUR wants and needs?
Finally, a point that may be easier to digest: What's the most popular beer? Do you drink it? If not, are you drinking the "wrong" beer?
