Lots of Fords
Just got back week in Gettysburg PA. Mostly Fords at campground. People having more faith on the 6.7s after the bad experience from the 6.0.:B

The 727, TH350, TH400, C4 and C6 were all 3 speed autos with no overdrive, but very bulletproof transmissions with minimal cost in rebuilding, compared to the later electronic overdrives (E4OD, 4R100, 4L60, 4L80E, 47RE, 48RE), which are problematic behind too much engine and in front of too much load, unless alot of money is spent on them.
Well my problematic 48RE has 100,000 on it with over half of them running 150hp over stock and pulling 15-20,000 off and on its whole life. I guess I wouldn't know a good transmission then.
No - you do not.
Get a manual Tranny
I get to to pick the gears up and down steep grads.
And i am talking steep.
I guess there are not many of us old timers left that know how to shift a tranny.
If you ever had a great automatic transmission you would turn your noise up to an manual transmission.
Having said that it's obvious why ram still offers a manual. :W
