I will agree that I see a lot of them on shady little no name used car lots around here with very low prices on them. They usually sit a long time before they sell and I would suspect for a lot less than what the original asking price was. My F-350 6.0L sat on the lot for over 6 months from when I traded it in and finally sold for about $6k less than their original asking price.
In contrast, when I was looking for either a Ford 7.3L or '06-'07 Ram with 5.9L they usually sold within days if not hours of being listed if they were in nice shape. It was obvious that they are very desirable and negotiating on them was nearly impossible. I believe the '06-'07 pre DPF Duramax is a very sought after truck as well.
