I haven't had my Bullet back there since I bought it, which is a good thing. :)
I did not know that the Bullet roof is not walkable, so thanks for the heads up. I haven't actually walked on the roof yet, but used a stepladder like you mentioned.
I have not been to Holly Shores, but heard it is nice. The issue I have with most of the Cape May area CGs is that they are really crowded in the summer, and they are VERY expensive (upwards of $80/night). Most charge extra for kids, and have lots of activities, etc. When we camp, we use the TT as a base for touring and exploring the area, and we are not in the CG that much. And our kids are in their 20s now. So other than the pool, we don't use the amenities of these types of CGs, so it isn't worth the extra money. We'd rather stay at a no-frills type place and pay half the price. I like to limit my cost to $40-$45 per night. In the cooler months we'll even stay at state CGs for $20/night.
But if you have a family with younger kids/grandkids, I can see the value in this being the annual summer vacation trip. It is probably still much cheaper than renting shore house or going on a cruise, Disney, etc.
This past summer our family of four stayed a week at Delaware Seashore State Park, with a full hook up site, for $38/night. And it is a very short walk to the ocean beach - no hassle packing up the car, driving, or trying to find and pay for parking. It doesn't have any activities or amenities to speak of, but great for swimming, boating and fishing if you are into those things.
