Low tire pressure in one tire
So I didn't use my TPMS for a month (reasons below*, not relevant to the thread). This weekend when I was checking the pressure before towing one of my tires had 30 PSI - normal pressure is 50 psi.
So added air and had all of them at 50 psi before a 3 hour trip back home today. I had the TPMS back on the tires. There was no noticeable drop in pressure.
So what the heck happened here? Is it time to change the tires (or the tire)? All my four tires are Towmax and this is our fourth year with the trailer.
*As for why I didn't have the TPMS running: during a few months of the year I leave my travel trailer in a parking place 150 miles from home. Every weekend we go there, pick it up and drive ~5 miles to a nearby campground. After that instead of going home we go back to the parking place and leave it there. Last week we actually drove 45 min away and back there. I removed the TPMS from the tires so people would not steal them. Looks like when I do that again I'll have to double check the pressure every trip, no matter how small.
