The one on my 2016 is only about 13" to the center but the part of the bracket the bolts to the frame is only 8" from the ground. I had one on my 2000 F-350 and I'm sure that it sat a little higher. I think it needs to be a pretty light scooter. They weren't really built to hold much on the front end beside the engine.
