lower front hitch on 2000 f250 clearence ?

I think he’s saying that they aren’t made for snow plows front hitchs etc, but that would be wrong. :) My truck has a rating for the front axle, and I’m pretty under. Unclear if OPs does have a rating or not. It seems many people carry items on their front hitches without issue, so I’d call it pretty safe.

I have the opposite problem for my front hitch. It’s low, so I have to add a raise or it’s extremely low. That’s an issue with driveway transitions and low curbs.
