what really works well is to put the coleman lantern inside the trailer a half hour before bedtime .
we are still at the campfire or tending to evening chores .
open the roof vents and a window or two .
this really takes the chill off the trailer without running down the batteries from the furnace .
we tend to turn the furnace off while sleeping and we just let the trailer cool down .
we use a DOWN comforter on our bed and we carry lots of FLEECE blankets .
fleece is light but multiple layers really keep you warm underneath .
in the morning i will boil some water for the hot chocoalate and run the furnace to get the chill off again .
anytime i am running the lantern or stove inside i will crack open a roof vent and a window to get air flowing through .
the trailer insulation will work well to keep enough heat inside for the shoulder season camping that we do .
